Keto Onion Rings

Low Carb and Keto Meals Posted on November 13, 2024 by UgmAig2maSNovember 13, 2024

These ultra-crispy, baked keto onion rings taste just like the classic deep-fried version but take under 30 minutes to make. The secret ingredient is cheese! Thick onion slices, layered with shredded cheddar & mozzarella—they bake up to perfection, delivering that ideal crunch without the carbs! Add your favorite seasonings to spice it up if you want, but I would rather dip them in my favorite sauce!

Keto Onion Rings is a Free Recipe from LowCarbKetoMeals.com!

Ingredients:

  • 3 c. of shredded cheese – reduced fat cheddar & mozzarella – you can swap for your favorite shredded cheese.
  • 2 medium sized onions, sliced into 1/2” thick rings
  • Flavor God Seasoning – Pizza Flavor, Buffalo & Everything Seasoning.
  • Donut pan or muffin top pan

Directions:

  1. Peel your onion & cut into ½” slices then separate them into rings.
  2. Spray your donut pan or muffin top pan with olive oil spray to prevent sticking. Now sprinkle a layer of shredded cheeses into your donut ring.
  3. Now add a raw onion ring on top of your shredded cheese.
  4. Next, sprinkle your shredded cheese on top of your onion ring, covering it completely.
  5. Once all your donut slots are filled with the ingredients, sprinkle with salt or your favorite seasoning & place them in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 400° degrees F.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool & eat!  For crispier onion rings, take cooled onion rings & place in an air fryer for 5 minutes on 360° degrees.

*Note:  If using silicone donut pans, place it on a baking pan for stability before preparing and placing in the oven. Freeze leftovers in a zipper bag & then warm up in an air fryer.
